Celebrate CLASP 2023
Honoring Teddie Warner
On November 14, friends of CLASP celebrated 17 years of serving the elementary school students of our community on a beautiful fall afternoon. The 170 attendees included sponsors, donors, board members, CUSD officials, Claremont City Council members, our U.S. congressional representative, Judy Chu, tutors and staff.
Teddie Warner, one of the founders of CLASP, was honored for her continuous, tireless and dedicated service to the organization. The recognition she received was well deserved.
The event was held in the beautiful garden of Dr. Len Jesup, President of Claremont Graduate University, and his wife, Kristi Staab. The afternoon refreshments, created by Robin Leonhard and her committee of Karen Rosenthal and Ellen Hamilton, included individually boxed gourmet delights. Decorations by Rhonda Prout added color to the afternoon, and live music by Michael Ryan and Friends entertained all.
The $500 of Claremont Chamber of Commerce Gift Carts were won by Dr. James Elsasser. Party Co-chairs Nancy Ambrose and Cindy Sullivan, along with their committee of Carol Lee Marshall, Sarah Smizer, Greg Shapton and Frank D'Emilio, can be proud of the event.
