February Program Director’s Message

CLASP opened its doors for the 2025-26 school year on September 15, 2025. So much has happened in just four months. We started in September with 62 kids and we are currently tutoring 81 kids, two days per week at three physical sites, with two students attending online.

Several CLASP volunteers have helped to recruit the necessary community tutors which make up the backbone and heart of our tutoring force. Our ongoing relationships with Claremont High School, The Webb Schools, The University of La Verne and the Claremont Colleges allow us to create mutually beneficial tutoring opportunities for their students to gain experience working with young people.
