Inspiring Tomorrow's Naturalists

On Thursday April 9, sixteen CLASP students and five adult CLASP volunteers enjoyed a morning exploring the California Botanical Gardens. Two docents guided our students for over 90 minutes through the Web of Life: The Study of Ecological Relationships and Diversity of Life tour. Students learned about the food chain and the chemical processes that are a part of it. Most captivating was seeing up close various taxidermy animals such as a coyote, a copper's hawk and a barn owl. Sandwiches, healthy chips and mandarins were served for lunch in the picnic area. It was a beautiful morning in the garden.
