Celebrate CLASP 2018

Honoring Carole Harter and Maureen Beith

whose vision of an intergenerational program launched the

CLASP Summer Camp at Mt. San Antonio Gardens

Almost 200 people enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at the Garner House in Memorial Park on Sunday, November 11, 2018 to celebrate CLASP and honor the vision, leadership and imagination of Carole Harter and Maureen Beith in creating the CLASP/Mount San Antonio Gardens (MSAG) Summer Camp. Congresswoman Judy Chu presented certificates of congratulations and noted the dedication of the residents of MSAG to this intergenerational event. Carole and Maureen both shared stories of the camp experiences, especially the benefits to the seniors, as well as the children.

The delicious buffet table. prepared by chefs Robin Leonhard and Karen Rosenthal. was decorated by Rhonda Prout. Oakmont Outdoor School Office Manager, Rosie Bister, was the delighted winner of an opportunity drawing for $500 in Claremont Chamber of Commerce gift cards. Her enthusiasm was infectious for CLASP and all it does for students.

CLASP President, Greg Shapton, and party co-chairs Nancy Ambrose and Cindy Sullivan were pleased with the event and the support it garnered for the CLASP programs.
